Pine nuts, kosher salt, fresh & dried basil (the dry stuff is very different), olive oil, garlic. That’s standard basil pesto. You can preserve it in your fridge for some time just by topping it up with olive oil.
However, if you do not intend to preserve the pesto you can add more stuff and make a more fun pesto. I’ve added tomato and parmesan.
Don’t tell your italian friends about this, they be hatin’ on anything extra.
